...s, Eins........is, t’s......won’t...a problem... Worry not.....farewell.
...well, it appears that Eins has made quite the blunder this time. Heheh.
I can only imagine how much trouble “cleanup” will be. ...however, lately, I’ve begun to find this type of work quite entertaining.
And of course, I have Master to thank for ordering me to serve as Eins’s assistant.
Eins... at first, I wondered what a brute a man like him would be.
His overwhelming power makes it easy for him to lay to rest countless lives, and yet... he’s unexpectedly scatterbrained and unusually soft-hearted towards us.
Beyond that, his decisions are always 1 or 100. The massacre of the century... He’d be the type to end up doing something like that.
Myself, I perform flawlessly, which is why I never gettired of being with Eins.
...of course, he has to be careful of that pig*. Goodness, Eins truly is unlucky.
To think that he has such a greedy little man, consumed by the desire to succeed in life, for a superior.
He’s the type of person who’s only good at sabotaging others, then watching from the sidelines for his own amusement.
In addition to treating Eins’s achievements as his own, he seems to be making a hindrance of himself behind the scenes.
I’d ignored him since he seemed insignificant, but it seems he’s become quite the nuisance.
Perhaps... it will soon be time for me to act as an assistant. Ah, perfect. It’s time to make use of that information.
For the first time in a while, I’m eager to put my skills to use... Heheh.
Fal: Wh......’s...? It’s taken a remarkable amount of time, has it not?
Fal: How could you be having such trouble interrogating a single member of the Resistance?
Soldier A: I-I’m truly sorry for the delay! He’s stubborn, and refuses to start talking…
Fal: ...haah, I suppose it can’t be helped. Well then, let’s get right to the quickest method.
Soldier B: Eh! F-Fal-san, are you going to assist?
Fal: Yes, as I often do. I’m quite skilled at this sort of thing, you see.
Fal: By the way… did you know? There are many nerves in one’s fingertips.
Fal: That’s why they’re so sensitive, and why it’s easy to cause pain from the smallest wound…
Fal: Heheh… Now, fetch my needles and pliers.
Soldier A: Ah… h-here they are!
Fal: Oh, they were already prepared. Now then, you two stand by out here.
Soldier B: Y-Yes…
.........
—gyaaaaaah!
Soldier A: Eek…! What a terrible scream…
Soldier B: Uuh… just imagining it makes me shudder…
Eins: …s, un…….od. Report that there are no problems.
Soldier: Yes, of course, sir!
Eins: …hm? Come to think of it, lately, he’s been the one delivering the messages every time…
Fal: Oh? What’s the matter, Eins?
Eins: Ah, Fal. You’re here at a good time.
Eins: I haven’t seen my subordinate who used to often deliver the messages in a while… Was there a reassignment?
Fal: Your subordinate? …ah, that one.
Fal: He’d been acting terribly strange as of late, hadn’t he?
Fal: When I placed him under surveillance, just as I thought, he turned out to be a rebel who was leaking the World Empire’s information to the Resistance.
Fal: I’ve already disposed of him, so I didn’t feel the need to notify you.
Eins: …so that’s what happened. Sorry for the hassle, Fal.
Eins: Tell me these things from now on. I can take responsibility for my own subordinates, at least, and shoot them myself.
Fal: …Heheh, there’s no need to worry yourself over something so simple.
Fal: This is also part of an assistant’s duties. Still, thank you kindly for your consideration.
Fal: Besides, don’t you have other matters to attend to? For example… watering the flower beds?
Fal: I only glanced at them a bit ago, but weren’t there growing buds?
Eins: Oh, really! Thank you, I’ll have a look at them.
Fal: Of course. Please tell me when the flowers have bloomed.
